This is a silver grey common brushtail possum and it is native to Australia and the second largest of the possums. Its name in Latin means “furry-tailed little fox”. It is a marsupial meaning that the babies are carried in a tummy pouch. Possums use their tails to help them climb Eucalyptus Trees. They eat leaves, flowers, fruits and sap.
