Nathan Ferlazzo
Born in Melbourne, Nathan Ferlazzo studied multimedia design at Monash University. He worked in various design studios in Melbourne for several years as a graphic designer before making the exciting move to found a family business – Marini Ferlazzo. Nathan has a passion for not only art and wildlife, but for science and nature. Inspired by people like David Attenborough and characters from his favourite books, like Mowgli and Bagheera (The Jungle Book), Nathan is in constant pursuit to expand his knowledge about planet Earth and it's connection to humans. Nathan draws using pen and ink on paper and digital methods for colour. The intricate illustrations intended to highlight both the beauty of the world's wildlife while educating and inspiring viewers to take action to help protect threatened species.
Clare Ferlazzo
Nathan's mother, Clare, is the co-founder of Marini Ferlazzo and has worked closely with Nathan in all areas of the business since it's beginnings in 2011. Clare is a qualified Naturopath and Nutritionist and has traveled the world to experience her passions for food, culture and nature. Raised by two very loving and inspirational Italian parents who imigrated to Australia in the 1950's, Clare's love of life has inspired her own family to make the absolute most of every day.
Simone Ferlazzo
Nathan's sister, Simone, adores animals and is happiest when surrounded by her three bichon frises. Her Italian background means that her second love is of course...food. Simone ran her own gluten free meals business for many years before joining Marini Ferlazzo. She continues to spoil the family with delectable treats at the studio.
